Fleur de Charlotte

Born and raised between the vineyards and the cellars, Charlotte is the youngest generation of the Dutch-New Zealand wine family Lemstra-Bake. Together with the cellar team of her home Château Canet, she created a range of wines in her name reflecting a young and elegant style. Not over structured, oaky powerhouses but fresh, fruit oriented and subtle: “L’élégance du Languedoc”.
Terra Vitis
We work with the principle that a good wine starts with a good grape. Therefore the attention to the vineyards is crucial. We follow the ecological brief of Terra Vitis: some actions are basic but efficient. Like below: instead of using chemical weed killer to keep the weeds out of the vineyards, we simply work the soil and plow….

Let’s talk about “LA CAVE”
The cellar of Chateau Canet has been around since the 19th century and has seen many changes over the years. The most recent one being in 2013 where we added a new wine cellar extension, increasing total capacity to 10,000 hectoliters. Additionally, with the help of a nitrogen production plant we are able to have unlimited access to nitrogen to help keep the level of dissolved oxygen to a minimum, thus minimizing the use of sulphited in our wines.
We believe that good wine is a result of a beautiful terroir, and being able to take advantage of its characteristics utilizing the best knowledge and techniques available to us.
L’Embouteillage
Our state of the art bottling line ensures all bottles are rinsed before being filled and more importantly, filled with nitrogen to remove any oxygen from the bottles. Our bottles are than engraves to ensure 100% tractability.
