The name Melfi has been borrowed from a historic town in Southern Italy, a town known for its history of treaties/concordats and even a Constitution. The Treaty of Melfi or Concordat of Melfi, signed in 1059 between Pope Nicholas II and the Norman princes Robert Guiscard and Richard I of Capua, where the Pope recognized the Norman conquest of Southern Italy. We, the 3 partners, 3 wine professionals, take this name to honor our dreams through an agreement signed with one mission:

“To deliver to the world, unique and hand-picked wines from Chile”

Vina Melfi is in the process of building a modern facility in the heart of Colchagua Valley to attend its growing clientele’s demand in different regions of the world.
